Our Mission:
the rehabilitation of disabled children to enable them to be self
independent and contribute to the establishment of public awareness on
issues of disability.
Our Vision:
That this association will further develop to become a national
pioneer philanthropic association that deals with issues of disability
in a comprehensive and scientific approach, the fruits of which will be
gained by the whole society.
Our Objectives:
1. To provide comprehensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation
services to the disabled child and support his family.
2. Educate and enlighten the society on causes of disability and means
of dealing with it.
3. Contribute to the establishment of a scientific data base for all
programs that offer services and care to the disabled persons.
Our Start:
The first foundation stone was laid in shaaban 1403H. The first
centre of the Association was inaugurated at Riyadh on 9.2.1427H.
Our Means:
1. Establish specialized care centers in areas of greater need for
them.
2. Recruitment of highly qualified professionals.
3. Exploit the scientific studies and researches to promote care and
rehabilitation programs.
4. Organize scientific symposia and conferences in the field of
disability.
Administration:
The Board of Directors elected every 3 years by members of the
General Assembly. It consists of 15 volunteer members and is responsible
for planning the work strategy of the DCA and its centres.
The General Secretariat and other executive committees execute these
strategies.
The Committees:
A number of executive committees supervise the execution of the
strategies decided by the board of Directors. These are:
• The Executive Committee:
Is composed of some members of the Board and is headed by the
Chairman of the of the Board. It takes decisions one chief issues and
strategies.
• Care Committee:
Supervises rehabilitation programs in various DCA Centers.
• Investment Committee:
Adopts strategies of investing and developing the DCA assets.
• Projects Committee:
Studies and monitors the DCA construction projects, real estate and
waqf projects.
• The Prize Committee:
Comprises a number of specialized members and supervises the
management of the DCA waqf project.
• Publicity and Resources Development
Committee:
Supervises the DCA publicity strategies and finds means of
continuing funding to the various centers of the DCA.
• Administrative Development Committee:
Supervises the development and organization of the Administration to
enhance Administration performance.
Our Services:

Therapeutic Services:
The DCA provides diagnostic and rehabilitation services in the
various fields through the Medical Departments in the Centers which
include: Medical Records/Reception, Consultant's Clinics, Physiotherapy,
Occupational therapy, Dental Clinics, Speech & Language Pathology Units
and Orthotics & Technical Aids Workshops.

The DCA Centres provide educational services to children according to
their ages in the following educational levels:
1. Early Childhood Program
2. Preschool
3. Graded School
The Education Department includes specialized units ti develop the
skills of the children and their efforts are crowned with preparing the
child for integration into the main stream education.
• Consultation:
The DCA provides scientific consultations to organizations and
individuals.
• Training:
Offering specialized training programs to workers in the field of
disability as well as students in the areas of care and rehabilitation.
• Social Services:
The DCA Centers provide social services to the child and his family and
offers services to special needy cases according to the field studies
conducted by social workers.
• Support Services:
The DCA Centers provide other programs such as:
Bliss language, computer for technical support and teaching disabled
children, extra curricular activities and trips, library ...
Our Children:
• They are saudi children with multiple physical ± mental disabilities.
• Are educable with an IQ of 50 or more.
• Their ages are from birth to 12 years old.
• Are not blind or deaf.
• Live in the towns and areas where our Centres are located.

• Our Funding Means:
Operation cost of our centers is 48 million Saudi Riyals annually and
includes the following sources:
- Donation, which is the main source of our funds.
- Subscription of the members (3,000) who pay annually minimum of One
Thousand Saudi Riyal each.
- Zakat: This is spent on children who are eligible for it.
- income and revenue generated by the Association's endowment Projects
in cites where the centres are located.

Our Achievements:
• One of the biggest philanthropic organizations specialized in the care
for disabled children in the Middle East.
• The first ever centre for disability research in the Middle East (The
Prince Salman Disability Research Centre).
• Pioneer in implementing integration programs for disabled children
into public schools (more than 700 children)
• A distinguished training centre for hundreds of students, researchers,
specialists in the fields of rehabilitation, special education and
paediatrics.
